Boris Bauer is a visual effects artist known for his expertise in previsualization, 3D modeling and look development on major Hollywood blockbusters and streaming series.
His contributions include senior roles in asset creation and previs on high-profile projects such as Venom (2018), Ready Player One (2018), Underwater (2020), The Sandman, Fast X, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Damsel, Fallout, and The Old Guard 2.

His career in computer graphics spans more than two decades, beginning in 2001 in San Francisco, California, where he initially worked in various CG roles for TV networks, medical visualization, Silicon Valley advertising (including brands like Nike, Google, Apple, and Pepsi) and early film projects. He specialized as a junior 3D modeler in 2004 and later contributed to major productions, including the Apple Animoji characters and the Eminem Brisk Super Bowl ad in 2011.
After living and working in San Francisco and Los Angeles for approximately 17 years, he returned to Europe around 2018. He has maintained a professional base in Zürich, Switzerland, since around 2017, where he lives with his family and teaches modeling and sculpting at SAE Institute Zurich while working remotely for VFX studios in London and Germany.
